Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of innovative products from concept to production. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional or an early-career engineer looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design and development of new products, including conceptualization, detailed design, prototyping, and testing.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for components and assemblies.
- Conduct engineering analysis, such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis), tolerance analysis, and thermal analysis, to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware/software engineers, and industrial designers, to integrate mechanical components into cohesive product designs.
- Generate and maintain detailed design documentation, including design specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering change orders.
- Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, and testing activities to validate and refine designs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the industrial settings.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) and familiarity with engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including kinematics, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
