Venturi Scrubber System Process Flow Diagram.

Applications

Chemical processing plants, power plants, metal processing facilities, pulp and paper mills, and food processing plants. They effectively remove acidic gases, particulates, metal fumes, dust, and odorous compounds from exhaust streams across these industries.

Benefits

Venturi scrubbers offer high removal efficiency for fine particulates and gaseous pollutants, versatility for various applications, scalability for different process sizes, and reliability with minimal maintenance. They help facilities comply with environmental regulations and provide additional cooling for hot gas streams.

Capacities

Flow Rates: 300 cfm to 120,000 cfm or more

Removal Efficiency: Can achieve removal efficiencies of up to 99% for particulates and various gaseous pollutants

Pressure Drop: Application specific, typically ranges from 15 to 25 inches of water column

Contaminated gas enters the venturi scrubber and is accelerated through a narrow throat section, where scrubbing liquid is injected and atomized into fine droplets. These droplets capture contaminants through impaction, interception, and diffusion. A droplet separator removes the contaminated liquid, and the clean gas exits the system. The scrubbing liquid, now containing the captured pollutants, is collected and managed appropriately.
